Welcome to the Sisters in Christ blog!

I am so excited! Cast of Characters just arrived in the mail this weekend and I am ready to dive in and see where this study takes us this fall and winter. (I hope you are too!) At our first meeting a couple weeks ago, we went around the room and each mentioned a few things we were hoping to gain out of this study group. I kept hearing the same things: “grow my relationship with Jesus,” “more fellowship with the women in the room,” “increase my knowledge and understanding of the Bible,” and several others.

In a world when we are all busy with kids, work, family, and life in general, I am hoping this blog will allow us to stay connected throughout the study, even if you have to miss a night or two. I thought a blog might be a good way to do that!

This blog will:

• Recap our Wednesday night discussions. If you missed a night, check it out for updates on what was discussed.
• Allow for more discussion if we run out of time! Sometimes a topic really strikes a chord and we don’t get through everything we hoped to discuss. Feel free to leave comments and keep the conversation rolling.
• Allow you to post prayer requests. “The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” (James 5:16)
• Post links and resources. If you come across something that is relevant to what we have been discussing, or even things that you think others would enjoy, post it!
• Remind us what chapter to read next.
